Brief description of Touch Therapies
- Deep Tissue/Neuromuscular/Medical Massage
- This therapy is designed for active participation from client to
enhance outcomes. Excellent for clients with chronic pain, trigger
points, post-rehabilitation, in conjunction with chiropractic care
etc. Passive and active range of motion releases that are most helpful
to those suffering from stiff necks, low back pain and tightness and
sore shoulders.
- Swedish/Therapeutic Massage
- Traditional massage therapy techniques that enhance relaxation,
relieve tired muscles, reduces stress and stimulations circulation.
Client can relax and enjoy throughout session.
- CranioSacral Therapy
- Gentle techniques to help improve central nervous system function,
facilitates recovery from injury, trauma, illness, disease and
enhances overall health and immune function. This therapy is
particularly helpful to people with fibromyalgia, migraines, TMJ
syndrome, neck and back pains and mental stress.
- Pregnancy Massage
- The therapy uses gentle/light to moderate pressure to help alleviate
the discomforts of pregnancy and enhances mood and energy levels.
Cushioning/pillows/props is used as a support system to assure comfort
and relaxation to the mother-to-be!
- Infant Massage
- The therapy is open to 2 caregivers. Light gently strokes are taught
to help calm, soothe, relieve colic and gas, aid in digestion, boost
immunity, promote overall healing and empower caregivers through
bonding. The focus of this session is to teach the caregiver(s) how to
conduct an infant massage session at home.
